Medical Plan

Our medical plan, CHOICES, is available to all employees and their eligible dependents. CHOICES has two plan options, ensuring that all your needs will be met. Each plan covers inpatient hospital care, mental health and other medical care. Medical benefits are offered to all full-and part-time employees (Northside does offer some PRN and Resource positions, but medical benefits are only extended to FT and PT).

Dental Plan

Our dental plan includes two levels of coverage: (1) preventive and diagnostic care and (2) routine care and major treatment.

Spending Accounts

Full and part-time employees qualify for spending accounts which allow you to pay for certain health care (expenses not covered under the Medical and Dental plans) and dependent care expenses on a tax-free basis.

Life Insurance

We provide basic life insurance, which includes indemnity for accidental death and dismemberment. Employees may purchase supplemental life insurance for eligible dependents. Universal life insurance is also available.

Disability Coverage

Short-term disability protection is provided to full-and part-time employees. These benefits are accrued per paid hour. Long-term disability insurance is provided for full-time employees and provides income protection (60% of base wage) in the event of a disability that extends beyond 90 days.

Retirement Plans

We provide a pension plan to employees who have completed one year of service and have worked at least 1,000 hours per year. Employees become vested after working 1,000 hours per year for five consecutive years. Employees may also participate in the Tax Sheltered Annuity program. Contributions are made and interest is earned on a tax-deferred basis. We will match contributions to the first four percent of the employee's deferred amount.
